Lights of Peace

Having Peace Lights in every room in one’s home, every office in a company, every classroom in a school, every house of worship, every government agency office, in every NGO office, every building in a neighborhood, and on every Street in a community for the whole, would, in my opinion, leave a permanent peace-loving mark.

Description

My knowledge of the importance of a peaceful co-existence preceded 9/11, but my unwavering commitment to it stems from it.

As horrendous as World’s wars and all other evil atrocities ever committed may have been, and there is no sane mind that should minimize the painful heavy toll they brought on their victims, I only read about them.

The morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001 on the other hand, was and shall forever be an evil act that found a permanent dwelling in my heart and soul and as result of it, had created a new fearless-soldier in me marching in a less-crowded theater of a global peace-promoting zone.

The first three months following the attack of 9/11, there was not a thing in my life and associations that I did not question. Not the least of them was my religion, religious identity, its books and the God whom I was taught responsible for all.

After coming out of my post-9/11 soul searching, truth-ascertaining, belief-authenticating, loyalty realigning, reading readjusting and the seeking of the purpose of my very being, I had completely and clearly found the answer to all these questions.

And the answer was for me to spend every frame of a second of my natural life promoting a peaceful co-existence among all creatures.

This commitment led to Adopt-A-Friend, Peace December, Peace Lights and all other present and future peace-endeavors I have and would involve in.

Having Peace Lights in every room in one’s home, every office in a company, every classroom in a school, every house of worship, every government agency office, in every NGO office, every building in a neighborhood, and on every Street in a community for the whole, would, in my opinion, leave a permanent peace-loving mark.

Peace Lights are tools to help us in our pursuit of peaceful co-existence and a constant reminder of our collective obligation to protect lives, fortunes and honors of all. Let Peace Lights shine everywhere in our universe, forever.
